Marketing is not a leap of faith. It is arithmetic. Move the sliders to match your business and the numbers move with you.

Your projection
This is a model, not a promise. Real results depend on your market, your speed to answer the phone, and how well the work is executed. Competition and seasonality move it too.
See PackagesHow the calculator does its math
There is nothing hidden in it. Jobs per month are your leads multiplied by your close rate. Revenue is those jobs multiplied by your average job value. Return is that revenue divided by what you spend on marketing in the same month, and the yearly line is the monthly revenue times twelve.
That simplicity is the point and also the limit. The calculator treats every lead as equally likely to close and every job as the average job, which real businesses never are. A water heater replacement and a drain clearing are both one job here. It also measures revenue, not profit after labor and materials, so a 5× return on a low-margin service can be worth less than a 3× return on a high-margin one.
Use it to compare scenarios, not to forecast to the dollar. What happens if the close rate rises five points because the office calls web leads back faster? What if a tracking setup shows that half of your leads come from one channel? The answers to those questions are usually worth more than the headline number.
Where to get your real numbers
Leads per month
Count calls that reached a person plus form submissions and booking requests, not website visits.
Close rate
Jobs booked divided by leads, over the same period. Your field software usually reports booking rate directly.
Average job value
Invoiced revenue divided by completed jobs. Look at it by service line if your work varies a lot.
Marketing spend
Everything you pay to be found: ads, directories, agency fees, and the share of website costs you assign to marketing.
Questions we hear a lot.
What counts as a good marketing ROI for a home-service business?
It depends on your margins. Revenue divided by spend says nothing about labor and materials, so compare the result against your gross margin. If a service keeps 40 cents of every dollar, it needs at least 2.5 dollars of revenue per marketing dollar just to break even on that spend.
Why does the calculator ignore repeat customers?
To stay honest about what it can know. Repeat work, memberships and referrals make good marketing worth more than one month of jobs, but they vary too much between businesses to guess. If you track customer lifetime value, use it as your average job value to see the bigger picture.
Is this the same calculation you use to quote a project?
No. Project prices are published and fixed by scope on the pricing page. The calculator is a planning tool for you, and we never use it to promise a result.
