ServiceTitan API Integration & Custom Development

ServiceTitan runs the office. When you need a screen, a report, a website flow or an automation it doesn't offer, we build it on the API your admin approves, with your data staying under your control.

Five kinds of work

API Development & Custom Applications

Standalone apps and internal tools built on your ServiceTitan data, with the authentication, sync and error handling done properly.

When the software runs the business, the gaps cost real money.

A contractor that runs on ServiceTitan has most of its business in one system: customers, jobs, estimates, invoices, technicians, memberships, campaigns. That's the point of it. But the system is built for thousands of companies at once, and every company eventually hits a question it can't answer the way the owner wants, a screen the dispatchers wish existed, or a step somebody still does by hand every afternoon.

Some of those gaps close with configuration, a ServiceTitan add-on, or an app from its marketplace, and when they do, that's usually the cheaper answer. We'll say so. The rest need software built for one company: a dashboard that measures what you measure, a website that hands leads straight to the office, a gallery that turns finished jobs into proof, an automation that follows up on the estimates nobody called back.

That's the work this section covers. Mesa Web Designers builds custom applications and integrations on ServiceTitan's developer APIs for home-service companies across the country: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, garage doors and the trades around them.

Five kinds of projects

Most requests fall into one of these. Each has its own section with the details, limits and examples.

  • API development & custom applications

Internal tools and standalone apps that read and, where permitted, write ServiceTitan data, with authentication, syncing and error handling done properly. API development.

  • Dashboards & analytics

Owner, revenue, technician, marketing and multi-location reporting built around your definitions, refreshed on a schedule. Custom dashboards.

  • Website & lead integrations

Forms, booking requests, estimate tools, attribution and customer portals connected to ServiceTitan. The most common first project is ServiceTitan website integration.

  • Project galleries

Completed jobs and approved photos turned into galleries and case studies on your website, with the office deciding what gets published. Project galleries.

  • Workflow automation

Estimate follow-up, agreement renewals, job alerts, scheduled reports, and clean feeds into Google Sheets or Power BI. Workflow automation.

  • Not sure which?

Describe the problem, not the solution. "The office retypes every web lead" and "I can't see which ads book jobs" are perfectly good starting points.

How a ServiceTitan project runs

The order is the same whether the project is a one-form integration or a reporting system for several branches.

  1. 1

Define the outcome and the data

We agree on what the finished thing does, which ServiceTitan records it needs, and whether it only reads data or also creates or changes it. Read-only projects are simpler, safer and cheaper, so we push for them where they'll do.

  2. 2

    Your admin approves access

ServiceTitan doesn't hand data to developers; your company grants it. ServiceTitan asks customers to check with its integrations team before engaging an outside developer, and we recommend the same. Then your admin connects the app and approves the specific permissions it needs, and the credentials go to the server, never into a web page. How API access and authentication work.

  3. 3

    Build against a safe copy

Where ServiceTitan provides an integration environment for your account, development and testing happen there first, so nothing touches live jobs until it has been checked.

  4. 4

Test with the people who'll use it

A dispatcher, a CSR or the owner tries it with real scenarios. Most of the fixes at this stage are about wording and defaults, not code.

  5. 5

    Cut over, document, support

Go-live is planned so the office isn't surprised, and you get plain documentation of what was built, what it can access, and how to turn it off. APIs change, so ongoing support is part of the conversation from the start.

What ServiceTitan does, and what we add

A fair split. Where ServiceTitan's own features fit, use them; custom work is for the parts that are specific to your company.

Who builds it

Mesa Web Designers is one senior developer who has been building for the web since 1999. The person who scopes your project writes the code and answers the phone afterward. We're an independent developer: not a ServiceTitan partner, and not affiliated with or endorsed by ServiceTitan.

The portfolio shows the relevant work plainly. HomeService WebApp, an estimate-recovery application for contractors, is built on PHP, MySQL, Stripe and the ServiceTitan API. The Bleuwave HVAC site lists ServiceTitan in its stack alongside Next.js and PostgreSQL. HVAC Web Designer includes sales dashboards and integrations with the field software contractors already run. We describe those projects by what was built, not by numbers we can't show you.

Projects are priced from the published rates: web apps, portals and integrations start from $575, priced by complexity, and every website package includes one custom third-party API integration. Your ServiceTitan subscription and any API terms stay between you and ServiceTitan. What drives the cost of a ServiceTitan integration.

What to have ready before we talk

None of this is required for a first call, but each answer makes the scope and the quote sharper.

  • Which ServiceTitan records the project needs (jobs, estimates, invoices, customers, campaigns, photos)
  • Whether it only reads data or also creates or changes records
  • How many business units, branches or ServiceTitan accounts are involved
  • Who uses the result: the owner, the office, technicians or customers
  • Other systems involved, such as your website, Google Ads, Sheets or Power BI
  • Whether your admin has approved API access before, and for what

ServiceTitan development: questions we hear a lot.

Are you a ServiceTitan partner?

No. Mesa Web Designers is an independent developer, not affiliated with or endorsed by ServiceTitan. We build on the API access ServiceTitan makes available to its customers, with your admin approving the connection and the permissions it gets.

Can you change how ServiceTitan itself is configured?

No, and we don't try. Pricebooks, job types, workflows and native reports are configured inside ServiceTitan by your team, ServiceTitan or a ServiceTitan consultant. We build the software around it: integrations, apps, dashboards and automations that use its data.

Do you need our ServiceTitan login?

No. Integrations use API credentials your admin creates for the app, with only the permissions it needs. We never ask for a staff member's username and password, and we don't scrape ServiceTitan screens.

Do you only work with contractors in Arizona?

No. The business is named for Mesa, but ServiceTitan projects are built for contractors anywhere in the United States.

What does a ServiceTitan integration cost?

Web apps, portals and integrations start from $575 and are priced by complexity: how much data, whether it writes back to ServiceTitan, how often it syncs, and how many other systems are involved. Every website package also includes one custom third-party API integration. You get a written, fixed quote before work starts.
