Divi repair

Divi's purple loading animation shouldn't be a lifestyle.

The builder that won't finish loading, pages rendering as shortcode soup, styles that changed but didn't save — Divi has its own failure dialect, and repairing it well means speaking it fluently.

Divi's architecture, and the failures it invites.

Divi is a theme and a builder fused together, with two habits that define its breakage. First, it stores designs as shortcodes in your content — which is why a Divi site with the theme deactivated (or broken) renders as bracket soup: [et_pb_section][et_pb_row]… Your design is still there; its interpreter is missing. Second, it generates static CSS files for performance — and when that cache corrupts or fails to regenerate, styling changes stop applying, or the site serves yesterday's design forever.

The endless purple loading animation — Divi's signature ailment — is usually one of three: exhausted PHP memory (Divi is the hungriest builder), a JavaScript conflict from another plugin, or a server security rule blocking the builder's requests. All three are diagnosable from consoles and logs in minutes.

The Divi-specific repair list.

Builder stuck loading: memory raised properly, the conflicting script identified, or the server rule (often ModSecurity) tuned — the console names which. Changes not saving or not showing: Divi's static CSS regenerated and the layered caches (Divi's, plugins', host's) cleared in the right order — the order matters and is routinely done wrong. Shortcode soup: the theme relationship repaired, or the interpreter restored — never 'just switch themes,' which orphans every page.

Library and template issues — global elements not propagating, the Divi Library corrupted — are database-side repairs, careful but familiar. And the update-conflict method covers the rest: Divi's big releases have a history of breaking addon plugins, and rollback-patch-reapply is the safe dance.

Leaving Divi — only if and when it's right.

Because Divi keeps designs as shortcodes, leaving it is a real migration, not a theme switch — which is exactly why the decision deserves honest numbers rather than fashion. If your Divi site is stable and does its job, keep it maintained and keep the money. If it's fighting Core Web Vitals or breaking quarterly, we'll price the clean rebuild against the patch schedule and let arithmetic decide. We repair Divi and replace Divi; the advice carries no thumb on the scale.

The Divi failure catalog.

Its own architecture, its own breaks — all on this bench.

Builder won't load

The endless purple animation — memory, script conflicts, or server rules, named from the console.

Static CSS corruption

Changes not applying, styles frozen in the past — regenerated, caches cleared in order.

Shortcode soup

[et_pb_section] showing on the front end — the interpreter restored, pages saved.

Library & globals

Global elements not propagating, library corruption — the database-side repair.

Update breakage

Divi's big releases vs. your addon stack — rolled back, patched, re-applied.

Login & role weirdness

Divi role editor and security plugins fighting — access restored properly.

Single Error Fix — buy it now, skip the hunt.

One error, hunted down and fixed — 500s, white screens, redirect loops, broken pages.

Covers one specific error or broken behavior on one site. Diagnosis, the fix, and a plain-English note on what happened. If we can't fix it, you get a full refund.

Questions we hear a lot.

My changes save but don't show. Am I losing my mind?

No — you're meeting Divi's static CSS cache. The change saved to the database; the generated stylesheet didn't regenerate, or a downstream cache is serving the old one. It's the most common Divi complaint and among the fastest fixes, once the cache layers are cleared in the right order.

My site shows [et_pb_section] brackets everywhere. Is the design gone?

It's all still there — shortcode soup means the design's interpreter (the Divi theme) isn't running, not that the design was lost. Restoring the relationship brings every page back. The mistake to avoid is panic-rebuilding pages that were never gone.

The builder loads on some pages but not others. Why?

Page-specific weight or page-specific conflicts — a huge layout hitting memory limits, or a shortcode/embed on that page fighting the builder's scripts. The pattern of which pages fail is itself diagnostic, and it usually shortens the hunt.

What does Divi repair cost?

Single-fault fixes typically land at the $229 flat repair; multi-layer rescues get a written flat quote after the same-day look. If the honest answer involves bigger decisions, you'll get numbers, not pressure.

Tell us the symptom — stuck builder, frozen styles, bracket soup. Same-day look, design preserved, flat quote.
