Solar Installation web design agency
A solar website has to survive the homeowner's spreadsheet.
Your buyer may spend weeks with your numbers before the first meeting, and a spouse will read them too. We build solar sites that hold up under that reading, with the assumptions on screen and a way to start that doesn't require a phone call.

From our Phoenix-area website tests. A small group can swing on a few sites.
The sale starts with someone checking your arithmetic.
A solar contract is a long decision with a lot of fine print, and the homeowner knows it. Our read is that this buyer goes looking for the flaw before going looking for the installer. So the first job of the site is to be hard to catch out. That means an estimate with its inputs showing, a financing comparison that names who owns the system, and written pages with a review date on them.
Measured against that buyer, a lot of homepages look short of doors. Of the 47 home-service sites we tested around Phoenix, a group that spans many trades and says nothing about solar alone, 43% show a phone link and no form or booking on the homepage. We'd call that a poor fit for someone still checking the math, who may want to send a power bill or book a video call before talking to anyone on commission.
One thing we won't do is tell you what a tax credit, a lease disclosure or a contractor rule requires. That belongs to your tax adviser, your counsel and your licensing board. We draft the pages, publish the wording they approve, and keep the edit small on the day a program changes. Website prices are on the pricing page, and the solar marketing page covers the traffic side.
What we build against
- A savings figure with nothing behind it. We'd expect a careful buyer to assume the worst about what got left out.
- An incentive page nobody has opened since launch, still describing a program that may have moved on.
- A months-long sales cycle that hides which page or ad produced the signed contract.
- Leads that arrive as a name and a phone number, so the consult begins at zero.
- One route in: call now. Someone reading at 10 p.m. has nowhere to go.
Inside a solar installation website
Every page is evidence. Build it that way.
Begin with the estimate. Ask which utility sends the bill, since we'd expect the rate plan to change the arithmetic. Then ask for usage, roof direction, shade and how the system gets paid for. Show each input and let the buyer move it. A custom web application can run this on your rate data and your wording. Web apps start from $575, and pricing depends on complexity. The savings figure stays yours to stand behind, so have your adviser read it first.
Next, make the site somewhere a buyer can come back to. A bill upload gives the first meeting real usage to work from. A short email sequence can keep the comparison in front of someone who asked for it and isn't ready. Conversion tracking tied to your CRM lets you judge an ad by the contract it produced instead of the form it filled.
A panel sits on a roof and feeds a breaker box, so buyers may arrive with questions from both trades. See how we think about roofing sites and electrical sites. American Roofing & Waterproofing shows how we handle a quote. We built it an instant-estimate engine with inspection booking and separate routes for residential, commercial and multifamily leads.
The pages a doubtful buyer will open
Savings estimate
Inputs visible and editable, with a plain list of what the number leaves out. It hands a skeptic something to test.
Dated incentives page
Programs with links to the official source and the day you last reviewed them. Your tax adviser gets the final word, and the page says so.
Cash, loan and lease comparison
Side by side: who owns the system, who makes the payment, and what your contract says happens at resale. Your counsel reads it before we post it.
Battery storage
What stays on in an outage and what the battery adds to the price, in your numbers. Include the case where you'd tell someone to skip it.
Install timeline
Survey, design, permit, install, inspection, utility sign-off. Mark the steps you control and the steps you wait on.
Warranty and monitoring
Panel, inverter and workmanship terms as your documents state them, plus who answers when production falls.
Installs near you
Real systems with size, roof type and city. A stock family pointing at the sky proves nothing.
What earns a second visit
An estimator a buyer can argue with
Change the shade or the rate and the number moves. We'd add a line stating that it's an estimate, in words your adviser likes. The same app work covers saved scenarios if you want a buyer to return to one.
Power bill upload
A file field on the consult form. A real bill can tell the consultant about the house before the first hello. We quote custom form work in writing.
Kitchen table or video
Online booking comes with every website package. Offer both kinds of meeting on one calendar, so the buyer can pick how much of you to face at first.
Ad pages that match the ad
A click on an ad about batteries should land on batteries. Google Ads landing pages let you say one thing per page, in the wording your counsel already approved.
Answers an AI tool can read
Plain questions, dated answers, named sources. That's the format we'd want an assistant to read when a homeowner asks it about solar. AI search work can't promise anyone gets named, and we won't.
A handoff to your CRM
Each package includes one custom third-party API integration. For a solar company we'd spend it on the connection between the consult form and the CRM, so the bill and the answers travel with the lead.
Where solar sites hand the buyer a reason to leave
- An estimator that quietly assumes the power bill disappears.
- The word free near a lease or a loan, posted before counsel has seen it.
- An incentive figure with no date, no source and nobody assigned to check it.
- A one-field form, which leaves the consultant to learn the whole house over again.
Why a solar company might call us
The calculator is software
A savings tool is an application, and we build applications. The person who quotes it writes the code, so your rate logic doesn't pass through three sets of hands.
The page moves when the program does
Every package includes content management and a year of support. When a rate plan changes, the fix is an edit to one page and a new review date.
Our own numbers are in the open
You know what a vague quote does to trust. Website prices are published, and you get a flat figure in writing before any money moves.

Questions we hear a lot.
What does a website for a solar installer cost?
Websites are fixed prices by page count: $1,500 up to 10 pages, $2,250 for 11 to 20, $3,750 for 21 to 50 and $5,750 for 51 to 70. The seven pages above, plus a home page, an about page, a contact page and a few city pages, land in the $2,250 tier. A savings estimator is separate. Web apps start from $575 and pricing depends on complexity. You see it in writing first, and this piece on website costs covers the rest.
Can the estimator use our rate data?
Yes. You supply the rates and the assumptions, and we put them on screen where a buyer can change them. The assumptions stay yours, so have your adviser review them. We build the application and don't vouch for the savings figure.
Will you tell us what we can say about tax credits?
No. That's a question for your tax adviser and your counsel. We'll draft plain copy, link to the official source you choose and show the date of your last review. If the program changes and you tell us, we can change the page.
Can you make our site meet solar sales rules?
We don't say that about any site, and we'd be wary of anyone who does. Take your sales language to your counsel and your licensing board. We publish what they approve.
Buyers go quiet after the estimate. What can the site do?
It can ask permission to stay in touch, then do it with email. We also redesigned and shipped a product for contractors that tracks outstanding estimates and flags the stale ones, so we've thought about the problem. No tool can promise you a signature.
How fast can a solar site go live?
Build starts within 24 hours of your go-ahead, and most sites go live in 7 to 10 days. An estimator is a bigger build and gets quoted on its own. Adviser review runs on your adviser's clock, so start that early.
Do you run the ads as well?
We can. SEO, local marketing and Google Ads start from $575 a month. Pricing depends on complexity, setup and budget, and ad spend goes to the platform directly. You can start with the site alone, and that's fine with us.
