The HVAC job worth the most arrives holding someone else's quote.

What we measured
47 independent Phoenix-area home-service trades, tested on a simulated phone. Homepages only, totals only, and no business is named.
66median mobile speed score, of 100

From our Phoenix-area website tests. A small group can swing on a few sites.
Three people call about the same air conditioner.
The first has a dead unit in a Phoenix July and wants a truck. The second has a quote from another company, a number that startled her, and questions. The third would buy a tune-up, and has never heard of your maintenance plan because it lives in the footer. In our read, too many HVAC sites speak to the first and leave the others to work it out.
The tune-up is the easiest one to fix. It has a known scope and no emergency attached, so it can book itself. Yet only 13% of the home-service sites we tested offer online booking on the homepage. That covers the home-service trades together, in a small group, so call it an open position and no more. Online booking comes with every package we sell.
The replacement shopper is harder and, in our view, worth more. She doesn't need convincing that cold air is nice. She needs your tiers laid out where she can hold them against the other company's, and a reason to believe you sized the system and didn't just copy the tonnage off the old unit. Bleuwave HVAC gives that reader an instant estimate and a 0% financing path across 40-plus service pages. It's the kind of build we would start from. If your site is sound and the phone is the trouble, look at the marketing side first.
What we build against
- A homeowner holding a rival quote finds no equipment on your site to compare it against.
- A maintenance plan sells only when a tech thinks to bring it up in the driveway.
- Summer calls bury the office, and tune-ups could have booked themselves in April.
- Replacement estimates go out and go quiet, and nobody chases them.
- Hot back bedrooms get sold a new unit when the ducts may be the problem.
Inside a hvac website
Give each of the three a separate road from the homepage.
The no-cool visitor should reach a call button after a few checks your techs are comfortable with her doing herself, such as thermostat, breaker and filter. Write that page around what she can see, which is a blank screen on the wall, because we doubt anybody in a hot hallway types HVAC services. Make the fee for a diagnostic visit plain, if you charge one.
Replacement gets the depth. Equipment tiers side by side, with efficiency, warranty and noise. One plain sentence on what SEER2 measures. An honest line saying savings vary from house to house. You explain load calculations to us once. We turn that into a page we'd want a homeowner to finish, and we'd ask you to read it before it goes up.
The quote that goes out and goes quiet is the last leak. We redesigned and shipped HomeService WebApp, which flags stale estimates and drives the follow-up, so we have thought about this one at length. If you dispatch out of ServiceTitan, estimate follow-up can run from the data you already keep.
The pages an HVAC company actually sells from
No cool, no heat
Three checks, then a call button. We'd expect a family in a hot house to want to know what to try and who is coming, in that order.
System replacement with tiers
Good, better and best, with the specifics that let a shopper line your quote up against the one on her counter.
Second opinion
A page for the person already holding a number. Say what you check and why two quotes can honestly differ.
Maintenance plan
Written like a product sheet: visits a year, what each covers, priority scheduling and a button. The office should have to explain it by phone less often.
Heat pump
How one heats and cools, all-electric against dual-fuel, and when it suits the house and its ducts. A different pitch from a straight swap.
Ductwork and airflow
Saying a new unit may not cure a hot back bedroom costs you little, and we would expect it to earn the duct job.
What separates a sales tool from a brochure with a thermostat on it
A repair-or-replace helper
A few questions on system age and recent repairs, ending in a straight suggestion and a call button. Meridian Air, a fictional company we built as a demo, shows a symptom picker and the math on the page.
A plan someone can buy at midnight
Plan details and an online sign-up, with the first tune-up requested in the same pass. Recurring billing is extra work, quoted in writing. Agreement reminders can then keep renewals from being forgotten.
Scheduling tied to the board
Tune-up and repair requests reach the office with the job type set, ready to confirm. ServiceTitan can be the one API integration that every package includes.
Financing beside the tiers
A link to your lender's application next to the equipment cards, so the monthly number comes up before the in-home visit. This 0% financing lander is one we built for a Phoenix HVAC brand.
An answer after hours
AI can take the 2 a.m. question and book the morning visit, and an AI receptionist says it's AI and hands off to a person when it should.
Where HVAC sites quietly talk themselves out of the job
- A row of equipment logos that includes brands you don't sell. A careful shopper can phone the manufacturer.
- A maintenance plan buried in the footer, earning what footers earn.
- A replacement page with no equipment named. The shopper holding a rival's quote has nothing left to compare but the price.
- A flat promise of lower bills. In our view, ducts, attics and thermostat habits all get a vote, and the unit only gets one.
Why heating and air companies hire someone like us
We have built residential and commercial
Bleuwave HVAC covers homes, rooftop units and chillers. Bleuwave Commercial HVAC indexes more than 130 manufacturers, so a facility manager finds the machine on the roof by name. Both are live for you to open.
Replacement pages get written, not filled in
A template has a box for SEER2. We sit with what you know about sizing and write the page we'd want a homeowner to read to the end, and content writing is already in the price.
The plan and the board can connect
Maintenance agreements and tune-ups only pay if they reach dispatch. We work with the ServiceTitan API directly, so a sign-up on the site can reach the office as a booking request, ready to schedule.
They helped us turn a loose idea into a working digital product — asked sharp questions, found the hidden workflow problems, and built a system our staff could use without a long training curve.
Casey, the owner and developer, took the project and ran with it 100%.
I gave him specific direction and he went well above the call of duty. Five star service all the way!
A complete demo for this trade
The whole house, in cutaway.
Meridian Air is a HVAC company we invented so you could see the work instead of reading about it. Every component opens. A symptom picker triages the problem before anybody picks up the phone, and the repair-or-replace math is on the page instead of in a salesman's head.
Open it on a phone. That is where the difference between a real build and a template stops being a matter of opinion.

Meridian Air is fictional. The design is not.
Questions we hear a lot.
What does an HVAC website cost?
It goes by page count: $1,500 up to 10 pages, $2,250 for 11 to 20, $3,750 for 21 to 50, $5,750 for 51 to 70. The six pages above plus a few towns fit in the first tier or the second. A catalog past 20 pages moves to $3,750. Each price includes SEO, design, content writing, content management, lead forms, online booking, one custom API integration and a year of support. Pricing has the rest.
Do we have to publish equipment prices?
No. Tiers without numbers and an offer of a free replacement estimate can work, if the tiers say what separates them. If you post ranges, somebody has to keep them current. In our view, a stale price on a replacement page does more harm than no price.
How much SEER2 does a homeowner need to read?
A sentence saying what the number means, then your own tiers compared. Leave out the full table of ratings. Our read is that she's choosing between comfort and operating cost, and the number only matters as a way of telling those apart.
Can the site sell maintenance plans by itself?
It can take the sign-up at any hour and request the first tune-up, so her money buys something right away. Billing that recurs is extra work and is quoted in writing. The HVAC marketing page covers how to bring people to the plan page.
When should an HVAC company start a new site?
Before you need it. In July your office won't have time to answer our questions about the duct page. Build starts within 24 hours of your go-ahead and most sites go live in 7 to 10 days, but the writing needs an hour or two of your attention, and that is easier to find in the spring.
Should residential and commercial share a site?
Depends how much commercial you do. A facility manager with a building down at 2 a.m. doesn't want a homeowner's tune-up coupon. We gave Bleuwave Commercial HVAC its own site, with services in tabs by discipline. A smaller commercial line can live in one well-marked section of your main site.
Will the new site put us at the top of the map?
We can't promise that, and be careful of anyone who does. Every package includes SEO. Ongoing work starts from $575 a month, priced by complexity, setup and budget, with ad spend paid directly to the platform. Start with your Google Business Profile, and consider Google Ads for replacement searches.
